Clients at Advanced Exercise Sciences (AES) are encouraged to really watch their carbohydrate intake. When we say this we want to make perfectly clear that we do not believe in demonizing ANY of the macro nutrients: protein, fat, or carbohydrates. ALL of these are needed we just have to eat for how we live, train, and/or compete. The perfect example is if you decide you want to run marathons then obviously you will need to eat more carbohydrates than protein. If you want to build lean muscle mass then you will need higher amounts of protein than the marathon runner and less carbohydrates.
